Startup and evolution

DIaLOGIKa was founded early 1982 by Peter Auler, Jan Messerschmidt and Bernd H. Schmidt — all three Ph.D. graduates from the Department of Information Science at the University of Saarland, well-known at home and abroad for its high standards of quality.

Since then, we have remained true to our original corporate aim: the conception and realization of sophisticated and breakthrough IT projects. Also, a sound business sense has led to continuous growth in terms of sales and of people employed. In the course of DIaLOGIKa’s evolution, we have always placed great value on forming a team or teams of highly educated and like-minded employees.


Employees

It is on the employees that customer satisfaction crucially depends — on their first-rate qualifications, top motivation and great commitment. Which is why we put a lot of time and effort into recruiting new staff while creating a working environment that in itself is an incentive. In our view, that includes state-of-the-art equipment, a positive working climate and — in particular — the freedom to work independently. Each employee is personally involved in his or her work and responsible for the results so achieved, a success which the low staff turnover and the low sickness rate confirm.

Our employees appreciate tasks that are demanding and varied — in a word: challenging. Another reason to engage them in the holistic conception and development of software. In that process, project tasks are often dovetailed with product development. We also think it important that employees be given room to maneuver both technically and creatively.

A good education and personal commitment prepare the way for the individual to work freely but interactively in a cordial and cooperative atmosphere. Given a family-friendly working environment with flat hierarchies, our employees also have the space to breathe on joint projects.
We provide extensive opportunities for professional development and leisure activities. For example: one-on-one language courses in English, French or German; specialist update talks; in-house multi-day seminars; and communal leisure activities such as hikes or bike trips.
In fact, DIaLOGIKa has picked up awards as “Germany’s Most Bicycle Friendly Company” and as a “Top Family Friendly Workplace”.

Scientific Advisory Board

Our Scientific Advisory Board consists of renowned professors and industrial practitioner from Saarbrücken. They regularly assess the quality of our project work and give us new ideas for improving and advancing products and services.
